Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus rex

This set has many small pieces making it very detailed. It’s also very big, with over 3100 pieces. The collaboration with Jurassic park makes it very unique and Iconic. The overall design makes it look very realistic, like it should be in a museum. Overall this is a very neat set.

The Mighty Bowser™

This huge set has many details that make it stand out. Some of these include spikes and the hair which make it look quite realistic. The podium it stands on adds a nice touch to this set which rounds it off nicely.

Tudor Corner

This set is super detailed, which really makes the set come alive. It’s stackable, so it’s really easy to look inside and play with the minifigures, which are all very unique (especially the chimney sweep). It’s a very big set- being over 3000 pieces- and is a good value for money.

Natural History Museum

This set is really big, with over 4000 pieces. There are numerous details inside and out, such as the posters and the window cleaner, which add a nice touch. It connects with many Lego sets, such as the boutique hotel and the jazz club. The colours all fit well with each other so it looks like a proper museum.

Boutique Hotel

This set looks really clean as everything seems to fit together well. The colours compliment each other and there are lots of intricate details. The minifigures work well with the set and as mentioned before, it can be connected to many other sets, like the natural history museum and the jazz club.

Jazz Club

This detailed set is very similar to the last two in that it can be connected to others sets and once again, it is stackable. Every part of this set seems like it is meant to be there from the pizza guy to the marquee on the front of the “Jazz club”. All together, these three sets look very nice and neat looking exactly like a busy road in the middle of London.

Avengers Tower

This HUGE set has many, many pieces (over 5000!!!) making it take quite a while to build. In this set there are lots of mini figures that can be used to make really cool and iconic scenes. It looks just like the “real” avengers tower making it a must have for any marvel fan.

Daily Bugle

Once again this is another huge set with over 3500 pieces. There are numerous mini-figures in this set (25) all which can be put in different scenes and tell different stories. My favourite mini-figure in this set is the spider ham. One thing I have realised is that when assembling, the window panes are really hard to put on as they are very fragile and fall over easily with the slightest touch.

Young Simba the Lion King

This set is more of a “display set” than anything. The head of can turn a full 360° which is useful to make cool poses that can be put on display. The piece used for the tail is really realistic and seems just right. The legs of this model can not move and are in a fixed position. I find that the feat of Simba are really simple but effective with around 5 pieces for each foot!!!

NASA Artemis Space Launch System

This is another huge Lego set reaching just over 3600 pieces!!! The overall design of this set is very nice and clean though I would have liked to see some mini-figures or micro-figures (for the scales sake). There are many printed pieces made for this set which is quite cool though there is also a sticker sheet with a few stickers on as well. It is quite a stable set, which I think the designers for this set did on purpose to make it able to move around without falling.

Jaws

This is such a cool set. I love how Lego really took the time to make Bruce look really realistic. They really paid attention to the little details. The use of the chords for the lines of the boat is really cool adding “just one more” small detail. Again, the boat looks really good and looks exactly the same to the one in the movie (even with the orca sign on the back).

The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr™

This is one of the most impressive Lego builds ever released by Lego (in my opinion). It sheer size makes it true to the movie and the eye at the top was really well done. There is a really nice selection of minifigures in this set including many new ones we have never seen before. Behind the set, you can see the interior of the build showing all the different rooms which makes this set really fun to explore. This model is split into three part which slide on each other which can be used to make cool small scenes.

The Burrow – Collectors’ Edition

I love all the mini-figures in this set. They really add something else to this build… The tilting of the house is really realistic and really well done. It looks “magical”. Me personally, I believe they made a huge improvement since the last “burrow” they did as it just seems more neat and well done. This build can open up with two hinges so that you can really see all the different stories inside which I thought was a really nice touch.
