LEGO TECHNIC

McLaren P1™

This set has very striking colours and a detailed design. This is the perfect gift / item for and car fanatic. The unboxing of this set is a real experience that I would highly recommend. There is quite a high level of complexity in this set with the seven gears and gear stick. This is a really nice set overall.

This goes the same for the Ferrari Daytona SP3 and the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37

Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance

This set is quite similar to the “Oracle Red Bull Racing RB20 F1 Car” as the wheels are the same, the car is the same shape (more or less) and they are both F1 cars. There are many complicated components and cool parts to this set. It takes about 5-6 hours to build this set (for quite experienced builders) but it might take longer for new builders.

Mercedes-Benz G 500 PROFESSIONAL Line

This is a set I highly recommend. Its striking orange colour contrasts the black in the wheels and the top and bottom of the car. This car (as seen in the picture) has incredible suspension as it is an off road car. (Though Lego shouldn’t really be used on sand or dirt as it can get stuck in wheels and gear-boxes which can lessen functionality).

This set has a really clean design with great color choices. It is is very realistic and has a great look overall. The complexity level of this set is quiet high so will be good for experienced builders

The same goes for the Ferrari SF-24 F1 Car.

PEUGEOT 9X8 24H Le Mans Hybrid Hypercar

This set has some very cool features. On the front and back of the car, there are glow in the dark head-lights and back-lights adding cool parts usually only available to power function sets. This is quite a classic Lego car but with some cool features added to it.

2022 Ford GT

This is quite an iconic Lego technic car set with all the same features you would expect for a set of this price. The colour scheme of this set is really clean as the white and blue work really well together and contrast each other nicely. It’s really cool how the doors of this set opens just like in real life. Overall, a solid set.

Ducati Panigale V4 S Motorcycle

This is a set for motorbike lovers. The suspension on this set is second to none and the fact that it has different gears is really cool. You can see all the different cogs like on the real thing. The huge new motorbike Lego wheels are the perfect touch for this bike.

BMW M 1000 RR

This is another really cool set for any motorbike lover. Once again the use of the new Lego motorbike wheels make it looks really realistic and (if it were a bit bigger) make me want to ride it. On this set there is quite a bit of suspension on the front and back wheels but mostly on the back. This set is not very well proportioned as some of the shapes and sizes may leave some people a bit unhappy..

This mostly goes the same for the Yamaha MT-10 SP though this set does have some other features including the new Lego AR feature.

Liebherr Crawler Crane LR 13000

This is quite a controversial set. There are many new cool features about this set but also some bad ones that makes me think “Would I pay over £500 for this set?” Firstly the unboxing of this set is quite different from others. The use of separation the different packets using boxes is a new style that I am looking forward to seeing in new sets. The motors in this set are extremely strong and manage to move this (heavy) set. When carrying heavy objects using the cane, Lego have made it so that the set visible tilts though they reassure us that this is all calculated and is meant to happen. Its a bit frightening to see your £500 Lego set tilting almost and falling over.

Volvo FMX Truck & EC230 Electric Excavator

This set has some very cool features added to it. The digger attached behind the truck -on the trailer- can disattach and drive on its own. This is operated with two switches on the back of the digger. The two doors on the cabin at the front can open to reveal the seats of the truck.

Audi RS Q e-tron

In this set there are 3 large motors to power the wheels. (Two at the back and one at the front to make the wheel change direction to turn). This set isn’t very realistic in that it is not very accurate compared to the real thing though it still look stunning. This set can go quite fast for Lego technic set of this size which is probably because of the multiple motors used. Overall, a very decent set.
